Arden has a Master of Arts in archaeology from the University of Auckland. He has been employed as an archaeologist since 2008 in both New Zealand and Australia. This work has been varied, with research and investigations in both historic and pre-European contexts. His archaeological interests lie primarily in lithics and exchange networks throughout Aotearoa.
Arden works closely with clients through the design, consenting and construction phases of projects, to assist the client to navigate the legislative framework and promoting minimal impact on archaeological and heritage landscapes.
